[MADERA] — David Giglio, the Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in California’s 13th Congressional District, released the following statement in response to Democrat Adam Gray abstaining again from a key vote on the state of emergency.
“Once again, career politician Adam Gray avoided another controversial vote on an issue near and dear to the voters of the Valley,” Mr. Giglio said. “Adam Gray paraded around the Chamber of Commerce meeting earlier this month maskless, but didn't have the courage to stand up for your children's right to do the same."
"Endorsed by radicals, Adam dodges difficult votes to fool people into thinking he’s a 'moderate' and not one of them," Mr. Giglio added. "But hiding from 30% of ‘key votes’ in your career doesn’t make you a ‘moderate.’”
“It makes you a coward.”
California has been under a state of emergency since March 4, 2020. Last fall, Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom extended the order, though didn’t bother adhering to his own rules. Adam Gray has been endorsed by Newsom.
“Adam won’t be able to hide from controversial votes in Washington,” Mr. Giglio further stated. “Despite this phony moderate act, his actions prove he’s just as big a hypocrite as the radicals who’ve endorsed him.”
“I have always and will continue to let the people of the Valley know where I stand on all the issues.”
